Dreamscape Farm is pleased to present Highlife Farms Connecticut. An imported stallion who offers top Holsteiner bloodlines, Connecticut is a medium sized dark bay imported Holsteiner stallion who has enjoyed much success up to the Grand Prix Level of dressage in the USA. 

Sired by Calato,Calato's jumping genes undoubtedly come from his father Capitol I but also his mother, Vanessa III (Landgraf I, Calypso I, Rigoletto and lineage 474a) was a Champion mare from her year at the Elite Mare Show and represented the Holsteiners at the National Champion Mare Show with sucess. She was at the Bundeschampionart with Marco Dirk and went on to win a lot of Grand Prix classes. Calato who began his sporting career under Herbert Blocker, who showed him sucessfully in the 5 and 6 year olds at the Bundeschampionart. Under the junior rider of Denmark, Jennifer Fogh Petersen he continued his successful career and together they won the Nordisch and Danish championship from the young riders and were also successful in the Nationscup from Denmark.  Calato who undoubtedly belongs to the top jumping horse breeding stallions in Holstein, and has proven to be on of the best sons of Capitol His son, Coster won in 2003 with Christian Ahlmann the individual and team European Championship and was in the German team for Athens Olympics. More successful international Calato offspring are Graziana, Index, Cleopatra, Callistro, Cactus L and Corinessa. Calato is known to produce offspring with great temperament, attitude and scope

Dam-sire Landlord was a highly sought after son of Landgraf I. Landlord as a 2-years old stallion was the Champion of the Holsteiner Stallion Selection. During his stallion test he received the highest points, a total of 147.42 and he received a 10 for free jumping and jumping under saddle. Landlord's full brother Liran jumped at Inter­national level with Michael Matz.  Landlord was a popular stallion not only in Holstein but also in Sweden where he received the "Elite" stallion title.  Landlord sired several approved stallions and international sport horses like: Lanz, Land’s End, Culord, De Landfee, Lukas, Chinampa la Silla and of course Lianos who, with Rodrigo Pessoa, became the World Champion in 1998 and also won several Grand Prix like Aachen and Spruce Meadows.


Connecticut has many highlights of his dressage career to include invitations to the Kentucky Horse Park Dressage Symposium to demonstrate his perfect Piaffe and Passage movements. Connecticut was also invited to perform his musical freestyle at The Invitational in Tampa FL, at the New England Dressage Federations Breast Cancer Fundraiser in Long Island and at the Challenge of the Americas in West Palm Beach.

He received Horse of the Year by the United States Dressage Federation, and took first place in the Holsteiner Breed Division at Dressage at Devon. Connecticut achieved notable scores around the country, up to the Grand Prix level. Connecticut also stamps his offspring with powerful movements and dynamic gaits, athletic abilities and sound minds. Today they are showing successfully in PSG and FEI team and individual divisions. Offspring credits also include premium foals, breed show winners and top priced auction filly
